Brixham Harbour & Town Centre will be buzzing all week with music,
dance, street theatre & fireworks both on & off the water! Celebrating
the rich heritage of this historic fishing port with entertainment,
activities & fun for all ages.

Carnival 27th July - 3rd August
Paignton's traditional annual carnival has something to keep the whole
family entertained throughout the week. The events held on Paignton
Green are hugely popular & are a must for visitors& families
culminating in the unmissable Grand Carnival Parade.

The English Riviera Regatta Season is famous not only for
its action on the water but also for all the events & entertainment
on shore which are open for everyone to enjoy. The season kicks off
with the Paignton Regatta and a packed programme of
events on Paignton Green including the annual spectacular fireworks
display. Brixham Regatta creates a buzz of activity around Brixham Harbour
with exciting entertainment on & off the water. Air displays &
fireworks complete the fun of the
Torbay Royal Regatta week with nightly events for all the family.

Children's Festival 19th-22nd August
The event that local & visiting children wait all year to attend.
This legendary festival now in its 57th year just keeps growing. As
always the festival will be a fun packed week with music, displays,
games, clowns, activities, workshops, children's theatre & fun for
kids of all ages!

Visual Arts Festival 14th September - 11th October
Organised by local visual arts group, C Visual Arts, this month long
art festival fills Torbay with exciting exhibits of contemporary arts.
The highlight of the event is the central venue in The Spanish Barn,
Torre Abbey, where all the artists involved in the festival exhibit
examples of their work.

NEWS
In
May 2003 a brand new footbridge will open up a new promenade around
Torquay's pretty harbour and marina. Across the footbridge will be Living
Coasts, a new coastal wildlife attraction featuring birds and animals
from the coastal regions of the world, opens in July 2003.

Clipper Ventures plc, race organisers announced on April 10th 2002 that
the start of Around the World Alone 2002-03 on September 15th 2002 will
be from New York.
Torbay is the only European port of call.
